The Croydon MC has had an incredible year. His music has elevated, so has his bank account and don’t forget his awards cabinet. His debut album Gang Signs and Prayer finished at the peak of the Official UK Album Charts. He’s already toured Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand this year – as well as shutting down most of the talked-about festivals over the summer.
He narrowly lost to Sampha at the Mercury Prize Awards for the album of the year. However, he’s up for four Rated Awards and 3 Q Awards – not to mention that he is the current GQ Best Solo Artist of the year.
