Mr Eazi reveals the line up for his ‘Life Is Eazi Culture Festival’ at Camden’s Roundhouse

Taking to Twitter, Mr Eazi has announced an exceptional host of stars for the highly anticipated line up of his self curated ‘Life Is Eazi Culture Festival’ on 23rd September at Camden’s Roundhouse.

Having previously teased fans with the knowledge that familiar favourites from the UK music scene and big names from Africa, alongside DJs, dancers, artists and more would be showcasing their talent and the influence of the African culture, the major line-up announcement does not disappoint.

The announcement has confirmed major names including Fuse ODG, Kah-Lo, Riton, DJ Edu, Eddie Kadi and Eugy, yet despite the abundance of information, there are also several TBA slots still being kept tightly under wraps. Talking about the festival via series of interviews and radio takeovers that have included shows on BBC Radio 1xtra, Beats 1, Capital Xtra, Rinse FM, Mr Eazi has revealed there are still some big surprises up his sleeve for fans and festivalgoers.

Adding to the intimate and personal feel that Mr Eazi has ensured will be central to the festival by creating an air of familiarity, each of the announced artists has close connections to the Afrobeats superstar, having previously worked alongside him or supported in some capacity.

LINE-UP

FUSE ODG

The British-Ghanaian, multi-platinum selling independent recording artist is set to perform some of his huge anthems. His distinct combination of Afro-beats, hip-hop, and rap brought Afrobeats to the mainstream along with numerous dance trends.

KAH-LO & RITON

The Nigerian singer-songwriter shot to fame in the UK with her vocals on Riton’s ‘Rinse & Repeat and more recently has teamed up with Riton once again with ‘Money’ featuring Mr Eazi himself. The trio performed ‘Money’ live at Creamfields on Mistajam’s ‘Jam Packed Stage’.

EDDIE KADI

The host of all hosts, Mr Congo Swagg will be hosting the festival.

Fast becoming a household name within the British comedy scene, His unique brand of clean energetic comedy is insanely infectious and, with his quick wit and unpredictability, he is undisputedly a natural entertainer.

KWAMZ & FLAVA

The UK based Ghanaian Afrobeats duo were nominated for a MOBO last year after they hit the music scene with hits such as ‘Takeover’ and ‘Wo Onane No’.

EUGY

The UK Afrobeats artist hit the scene with Eazi on the big hit from last summer ‘ Dance With Me’. Catch him performing live on the day.

JULS

DJ and producer Juls will be live at the Life Is Eazi Culture Festival, performing a live DJ set for the crowds. The producer has worked with many successful African artists including; Mr Eazi, Burna Boy and Sarkodie.

DJ EDU

The AfroBoss who presents the biggest African music show in the diaspora on BBC Radio 1Xtra every Sunday night, travels the world taking African music to the masses. Certainly a set not to miss as he brings sounds from across the motherland.

BISA KDEI

Flying in from Ghana specifically for the festival, the Ghanaian native solo singer and record producer from Eastern Region will be performing his hits such as ‘Jwe’, ‘Brother Brother’ and more.

THE COMPOZERS

Providing the live music for Mr Eazi himself, The Compozers are a young live band whose shows have been described as vibrant and energetic. Not only incredible live, they also co-produced part of J Hus Mercury Prize nominated album, ‘Common Sense’.

DJ MAPHORISA

One of South Africa’s finest DJ’s and record producers with a blend of house music and afropop, he co-produced Drake’s ‘One Dance’ and has worked with the likes of Diplo and Wizkid among others. He’ll be performing a live set with his signature sounds.

EZINNE EXPERIENCE

Ezinne Asinugo is an international choreographer and TV Presenter. As one of the leading faces of the beautiful dance trio CEO Dancers (semi-finalist from Britain’s Got Talent 2013), she has graced the World Music Awards, Global Citizen DC and BET Experience stages. As a dancer or choreographer she has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Wizkid, Tinie Tempah, Drake, Davido, Fuse ODG, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Lil Kim and many more and will be putting together an exclusive performance choreographed especially for the Life Is Eazi Culture Festival.

SHOPSY

The entertaining and dynamic broadcaster, and Afrobeats plug, who you can find across networks such as BBC, BenTV and Beat103.6. Shopsy will be hosting what is set to be a lively, entertaining and breath-taking dance competition by the Homebros.
